Becal Tote

What an adorable handwoven purse, perfect for a summer's day. Our Becal Tote is made by Milagro de Atocha and other weavers in Becal, Campeche, Mexico. She works with the traditional Jipijapa palm used in Becal to make buttery soft hats and accessories.

Our Becal Tote has a wooden handle and a lovely demilune shape. Two sizes are available in a multitude of natural dyes and the original, cream-colored palm.

These totes are scare in 2024 because climate change has affected the growth of the Jipijapa palm in Campeche. These are the last pieces we will be able to find for a long while.
