Heritage by Hand partners with corporations, design firms, hotels, cultural institutions, and event planners to create gifting programs rooted in authentic artisan craft from Mexico and Latin America. Every piece we offer is handmade by a named artisan, in a specific community, using techniques passed down across generations. When your recipient holds it, they are holding something real.
Our Approach
We source directly from master artisans we know personally — ceramicists in Michoacán, weavers in Yucatán, copper smiths in Santa Clara del Cobre, basket makers in Oaxaca. These are not anonymous global suppliers. They are families and communities whose livelihoods depend on the continuation of their craft.
When you gift with Heritage by Hand, you are not simply selecting a beautiful object. You are participating in an act of cultural preservation — and your recipients will know it. Every order includes artisan story documentation: the maker, the community, the tradition behind the piece.

Heritage by Hand is committed to returning value to the artisan communities we work with. A portion of proceeds from corporate orders supports direct community benefit — tools, materials, and resources that help artisan families sustain their craft for the next generation. We believe that commerce and care are not in conflict. They are the same thing, done right.
What We Offer

- Custom production runs for larger quantities, commissioned through our artisan partners

How It Works
1. Initial Inquiry
Reach out with your product interest, quantity, delivery location, and timeline. We respond within 2–3 business days with an honest assessment of what is feasible.
2. Proposal and Quote
We provide a formal written quote including per-unit pricing, packaging options, artisan story, and total timeline.
3. Deposit to Confirm
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order and begin production. This is non-negotiable. Our artisan partners are independent makers — many working in small family studios — and we do not ask them to begin work without a confirmed commitment. This protects them and ensures your order is prioritized.
4. Production
Please plan for a minimum of 10–12 weeks from deposit to delivery for custom production orders. Existing inventory orders may ship sooner.
5. Final Payment and Delivery
The remaining 50% is due before shipment. We coordinate delivery to your location and provide full tracking and documentation.

We work with artisan families for whom each order represents meaningful income. When we confirm a production order, real people begin real work. For this reason:
- We do not hold production capacity without a deposit
- We cannot accommodate last-minute timelines for custom orders
- Cancelled confirmed orders forfeit the deposit
We ask that you come to us with a genuine commitment and a realistic timeline. In return, you will receive exceptional pieces, transparent pricing, and a gifting program your recipients will remember.
Pricing
Corporate pricing is available for orders of 10 units or more. Volume discounts are offered on a sliding scale. We do not compete on price with mass-produced goods — we compete on meaning, quality, and story.
