Classic Saltillo sarape, handwoven on a pedal loom in Tlaxcala, Mexico. Horizontal stripes of natural chocolate and cream wool frame a bold central diamond medallion in red, sky blue, navy, and terracotta — a masterwork of the traditional Saltillo weaving tradition. Awarded 3rd Place in the Tlaxcala Arts Competition 2026. Woven by José Luis Romano, Taller Netzahualcoyotl, under the design direction of Ignacio Netzahualcoyotl, 2021 winner of the Grand Prize for Mexican Traditional Patrimony.
Exhibited in Flowers Keep No Secrets at Heritage by Hand, Indian Market 2026, Santa Fe.
