El Bosque

Handwoven textile, naturally dyed in deep forest greens with successive dips of pericon and indigo, graduating from pale chartreuse at the top to a rich, dark teal — evoking the layered light of a Mexican forest canopy. Woven on a pedal loom in Tlaxcala, Mexico by Taller Netzahualcoyotl, under the design direction of Ignacio Netzahualcoyotl, 2021 winner of the Grand Prize for Mexican Traditional Patrimony.

Exhibited in Flowers Keep No Secrets at Heritage by Hand, Indian Market 2026, Santa Fe.
